We believe that, with your dedication and our reviewers’ expertise, you will be ready for the board examination.
I've always had my ups and downs in this field. I've experienced lows that made me question whether I truly fit in, which ultimately led to my redirection into the Internal field. I started my first job in Internal Audit, where I had to make sure I was a good fit for the role. Roughly a handful of years in, I finally found my groove and hit the grind button to study again. Despite my years of experience, I know there's always something to improve on. And there's no better way to enhance what I know than to embark on this CIA path. Luckily, I came across REO's posts regarding their review program. Ever since I enrolled, it's been tunnel vision from there on. Outside of the actual learnings the CIA syllabus demands, REO shared vital information and tips on how to approach the certification from scratch, such as test scheduling and attitudes toward the review phase. Despite coming up short on my my first attempt for Part 2, I am grateful to Sir Kebyn Villarino and the rest of the REO CIA team for providing more tips, which helped me eventually clear it. Moreover, the REO app was instrumental since it provided a quick way to answer questions that could be accessed anytime and anywhere. This was sufficient enough to help me recall the topics properly since I could access it during slack hours at work and even while running errands. Carrying the momentum I had from Part 2, and after some rest days, I studied for the next ten days (not recommended hahaha, I just had to since I needed to prepare for some work and travel plans) for Part 3. I also had the dilemma of waiting for the new exam format that would take effect in May or just going for the current one and taking the test. As a semi-impulsive person (haha), I took the risk and went for it. Fortunately, the REO handouts came in clutch in summarizing what I needed to study, and the video lectures complemented them well. With everything I learned, guided by a lot of faith and prayers, I came out of the testing site with three more letters added to my name. Appreciate you, REO! Here's to becoming a more productive and dedicated Internal Auditor!
